 (The True Living Bread & Water)

*“IT IS FINISHED” (Your Salvation Is Completed)*

Our Scripture reading for today is taken from the gospel of John which reads:

*“After this, Jesus, knowing that ALL THINGS were now ACCOMPLISHED, that the SCRIPTURES MIGHT BE FULFILLED said, “I thirst!” Now a vessel full of sour wine was sitting there; and they filled a sponge with sour wine, put it on hyssop, and put it to His mouth. So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “IT IS FINISHED!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit” (John 19:28-30).*

After the fall of Man, God decided to *SAVE* Adam and Eve and their descendants from *Satan, Sin, Spiritual Death (Hell),* and a *curse* through the *WATER* and the *BLOOD* of *Jesus Christ.* Satan came to steal, to kill, and to destroy both *body* and *soul* of mankind with sin, death and curse.

But our *LOVING GOD* and *SAVIOR,* whose “counsel of old are faithfulness and truth” (Isaiah 25:1), determined that He will pay *the price* of our salvation with *His own life* and deliver us. This is something that He purposed in Himself even before the foundations of the world *(Ephesians 1:4).*

Therefore God promised our ancestor Adam and Eve and told them, *“And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise His heel” (Genesis 3:15).* This refers to the conquest of Satan whereby Jesus will deliver us from sin and conquer all principalities and powers with *HIS WATER BAPTISM, BLOOD* and the *SPIRIT.*

God also gave a many other promises to Adam’s descendants. In another place He said, *“...And I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day” (Zechariah 3:9).* In addition to this, God whose *LOVE* for the mankind is *EVERLASTING,* told them once more, *“...for I will forgive their iniquity, and their sins I will remember no more” (Jeremiah 31:34).*

Therefore when the Scripture says that *“After this, Jesus, knowing that ALL THINGS were now ACCOMPLISHED,”* it means that *all the promises* which God gave to Adam and His descendants were *fulfilled* and *“ACCOMPLISHED.”*

We must know that before all these promises were fulfilled, a *WORK* was required to be  carried out. Therefore God sent Jesus to do this *WORK OF SALVATION.* That’s why Jesus told the disciples, *“My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work” (John 4:34).*

And it is very important to note that every work that is done *begins from somewhere* before reaching its *final stage of completion.*

Jesus therefore begun the *SALVATION WORK* when He was *born by the Virgin Mary* in the likeness of sinful flesh *(Romans 1:3; 8:3),* He then went to John the Baptist at the age of 30 *to carry the sins of the world* upon Himself by *BEING BAPTIZED* to fulfill *“all righteousness” (Matthew 3:15),* He then *died on the Cross* for the judgment of our sin to complete our salvation.

Therefore when Jesus was hanging on the Cross and said *“IT IS FINISHED!”* It means He has finished *taking away our sins,* and He has finished *washing away all our sins,* and He has *forgiven all our sins.* That is why right there at the Cross He said, *“Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do” (Luke 23:34).*

The sad thing however is that, still people *do not believe* in the Words of Jesus. Even though Jesus said He has *FINISHED THE WORK* that the Father gave Him to do, the *false Christian doctrine* says that He did not finish. And because they don’t believe, they still ask Jesus to forgive them and to sanctified them repeatedly every day.

Many Christians don’t actually believe in the Bible. This is because the Bible clearly tells us that, *“For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified” (Hebrews 10:14).* But the *FALSE PROPHETS* and the *FALSE PASTORS* says that we are not sanctified once and for all. 

They have turned the salvation work of Jesus into a lie *(1 John 5:10).* But every *wise believer* will believe in the *WORDS OF JESUS* and they will reject the words of false prophets and *dump them* in a garbage.

Jesus Christ *blotted out* all the sin of the world about 2,000 years ago, and has consecrated *“a new and living way” (Hebrews 10:20).* Now is the time of His grace. Whoever believes in *His BAPTISM* and His *DEATH on the Cross* is forgiven of all sin, and has the *indwelling of the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:38).*

*HALLELUJAH! HALLELUJAH! HALLELUJAH!*

Those who *BELIEVE* in the Words of Jesus when He said, *“IT IS FINISHED”* are *BLESSED.*
