 True fasting for the Righteous is to stay away from sin and do the works of righteousness .As long as one has not received the remission of his/her sins all works done in the flesh are in vain .Our works doesn't have power to save us, redeem us, bless us and change us but the Works of Jesus Christ has power to do all things considered impossible by men.  What we can't do, God do them better and better. It is not by works but it is by Grace of the Living God who came by water and blood. It is the Works of Grace working through Faith and Love that makes us draw nearer to God always.  All the works of redemption done by Jesus Christ are what matters most in the life of the believers.  What Ministries Did Jesus Christ Fulfill to Blot Out All Our sins?  First, He fulfilled the ministry of the Prophet. He is the Alpha and the Omega. He knows the beginning and the end, and He has taught us all about the first and the last. Our Lord knew what would happen to mankind, to you and me, if we had remained sinful.
